Local Knowledge
01
Castlerock is natural-snow only — it doesn't open every day, but when it does, it's extraordinary.
02
Mad River Glen is next door — a co-op ski area with a single chair and a ferociously loyal following.
03
The Mad River Valley has great restaurants for a Vermont ski town — not all chains and cheap pizza.
04
Less crowded than Stowe and Killington — the locals are protective of this and for good reason.
05
Spring skiing here is excellent when the natural snow consolidates into corn snow.
