Local Knowledge
01
Utah's snow is famously light and dry — it skis completely differently to heavy East Coast snow.
02
The tram holds 125 people and has a long line on weekends — get there early or ski the lifts first.
03
Alta is next door and has some of the best snow in Utah — combine both mountains in a trip.
04
SLC airport is genuinely 45 minutes from world class skiing — one of the best ski access points in the world.
05
Snowbird has terrain for all levels but its reputation is for experts — intermediates will love Mineral Basin.
06
The canyon road can close after heavy snowfall — check UDOT road conditions before driving up.
