About
Hakuba Valley in Nagano hosted the 1998 Winter Olympics and contains 10 interconnected ski resorts with some of the best powder snow in Japan. More international than Niseko but equally impressive snow and terrain.
The Mountain
Happo One for the Olympic downhill course, Tsugaike for powder and off-piste, Goryu for tree runs.

Hakuba Weekend

Friday
Fly into Osaka (ITM) or Tokyo (NRT). Train or bus to Hakuba (3-4hrs). Ramen on arrival.
Saturday
Happo One — the main resort, Olympic terrain. Onsen at the hotel.
Sunday
Goryu or Tsugaike for tree runs. Head back to the city.
