About
Good Harbor sits on the east-facing side of Cape Ann, picking up swell from a wider window than the south-facing Gloucester beaches. The bottom features a mix of sand and rocky outcrops that give some waves real shape when the sandbars align. Works best on mid-size fall hurricane swells and winter Nor'easters.
The Break
Good Harbor Beach β mixed sand and rock bottom. Best peaks usually form closer to Salt Island on the north end of the beach.
Ideal Conditions
E/SE swell 3-8ft, offshore W/NW wind, mid tide
