About

G-Land (Grajagan) is a legendary left-hand reef break on the edge of a jungle in East Java. Only accessible by boat or through a surf camp deep in the Alas Purwo National Park. When it fires it is one of the most powerful and perfect waves in Indonesia.

The Break

Kongs for the longest barrels, Moneytrees for power, Speed Reef for the most intense section.

Local Knowledge

You must stay at one of the G-Land surf camps — there is no other accommodation.

The camp includes meals — focus entirely on surfing.

Monkeys will steal your food if you leave it unattended — not a joke.

The wave is powerful and unforgiving — intermediate to advanced surfers only.

June-August is the most consistent window — book the camp well in advance.
