Cloudbreak is a mythical left-hand reef break off Tavarua Island in Fiji. On its day it produces long, perfect barrels in crystal clear warm water over a shallow coral reef. One of the most coveted waves on earth.

The main Cloudbreak peak — take off on the sets and thread the inside sections. Restaurants section offers longer walls.

Back to Cloudbreak if swell is still up.

Explore the Mamanuca Islands — Monuriki (Cast Away island), snorkel.

Day 7

Final morning session, fly home.

Local Knowledge

You need to book a boat — Cloudbreak is only accessible by sea. Arrange in advance.

Booties are essential — the reef is shallow and very sharp on the inside.

Fiji time is real — build extra flexibility into your plans.

Kava is part of the culture — accept it graciously when offered by locals.

June-August produces the most consistent swell but is also the busiest.

The Fijian people are incredibly warm and welcoming — one of the most special travel experiences on earth.
