About
Aspen Snowmass is four ski areas on one lift pass: Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and the massive Snowmass. Together they offer 5,500+ acres and every type of terrain imaginable. The town itself is legendary for its combination of world-class skiing, incredible food, and cultural events.
The Mountain
Highland Bowl — a 40-minute hike to the top and a 2,000ft plunge through avalanche-controlled off-piste terrain.
Ideal Conditions
Colorado low pressure system dumping 2 feet of Champagne powder, followed by a bluebird day.

Aspen Weekend

Friday
Fly into Aspen/Pitkin (ASE) or drive from Denver (4hrs). Check into hotel. Dinner at Matsuhisa or Cache Cache.
Saturday
Aspen Mountain — all the classics, Ruthies, Bell Mountain. Full day. Après at the Ajax Tavern.
Sunday
Highlands — hike to Highland Bowl if conditions are right. Fly home from Aspen.
All Four Mountains Week

Day 1
Arrive, first laps on Aspen Mountain to shake off travel.
Day 2
Snowmass full day — the biggest of the four mountains, could ski it for a week alone.
Day 3
Aspen Highlands — hike Highland Bowl, Steeplechase, Olympic Bowl.
Day 4
Storm day — follow the fresh snow wherever it falls.
Day 5
Buttermilk — great for a change of pace, excellent freestyle park.
Day 6
Best-of day — return to favorite runs from earlier in the week.
Day 7
Morning laps, fly home.

Snowmass is huge — don't underestimate how much terrain there is, plan to spend a full day.
