Anchor Point is a world-class right-hand pointbreak near the surf village of Taghazout on Morocco's Atlantic coast. Long, walling rights that can run for hundreds of metres make this one of the most sought-after waves in Africa.

The Break

Saturday

Morning session, drive back to Agadir, fly home.

Taghazout is a small fishing village — respect the local culture and dress modestly in town.

Surf houses are the best accommodation — cheap, social, and right on the breaks.

The swell season is October to April — summer is flat.

Fresh fish from the harbour in Agadir is incredible and very cheap.
